Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2025

The short version

We don't keep your stuff. No accounts, no tracking, no selling your data. You tell us what's in your fridge, we suggest dinner, everyone moves on with their lives.

What we collect

Voice recordings

When you use the voice feature, your audio is sent to our AI service (Groq) to figure out what ingredients you mentioned. The recording is processed and immediately discarded – we don't store it anywhere.

Photos

Same deal with photos. They're sent off for analysis, then gone. Your sad fridge contents aren't saved to any server.

Text input

If you type your ingredients, that text is processed to generate meal ideas. Not stored, not logged, not remembered next time.

Third-party services

We use Groq for AI processing (speech-to-text, image recognition, and meal suggestions). Your input goes through their systems to generate results. Here's their privacy policy if you want the details.

We use Vercel for hosting. Standard web server logs may include your IP address and browser info, but we don't do anything with that data.

What we don't do

  • Create accounts or profiles
  • Track you across the web
  • Use analytics or advertising cookies
  • Sell or share your data with anyone
  • Store your recipes, ingredients, or preferences

Local storage

The app might use your browser's local storage for basic functionality (like remembering if you've visited before), but nothing personal is stored.

Kids

This app isn't aimed at anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we ever change how we handle data, we'll update this page. For a simple cooking app though, there's not much to change.
